About Pancit Malabon Asian Restaurant

In 2000, Lutgardo Cruz constructed a high-tech food cart that let customers see Pansit Malabon being traditionally prepared. While waiting for their dishes, customers could see noodles being boiled, shrimps being peeled and the other stages in creating a delicious Pancit Malabon. The same year, the truck was on show at the first Asian Ethnic Food Festival, after which Pansit Malabon Express was launched. Today there are now over 30 Pancit Malabon Express franchises in the Philippines.

Pancit Malabon is a noodle dish that originated in Malabon City just minutes away from the fishing ports of Navotas. Tucking into a dish of Pancit Malabon is like tucking into a seafood sampler, it's so rich in the fruits of the ocean. The dish starts with thick rice noodles flavoured with shrimp broth then topped with tinapa, smoked fish flakes, squid, oysters or mussels.
