Hopes End Red Blend is a bold, smooth, medium-bodied, fruit-forward blend from South Australia. It drinks perfectly right off the bottle with just the right amount of spice and oak with a touch of sweetness. A truly great value wine. Tasting notes: Foraged dark fruits, earthy vanilla with a hint of oak, a touch of chocolate and a soft, silky, smooth finish. Color: Deep rich red Aroma: Blackberry and raspberry jam. Varietals: Shiraz 41%, grenache 39%, malbec 12%, petit verdot 8% Technical data: Alcohol vol: 13.5%, pH: 3.62, total acidity: 6.1 g/L, residual sugar: 15g/L Vineyard: The vines grow strong and robust in the heartland of South Australia's vineyard regions. Bright, warm summers and deep sandy loam over limestone soils ensures they flourish to produce intensely flavoured, perfectly ripened grapes. Winemaking: Carefully selected parcels of shiraz, grenache and malbec were picked in the cool light of a new dawn when perfectly ripe, the grapes were crushed and destemmed prior to fermentation under temperature controlled conditions to preserve their vibrant colours and flavours. Each base wine was assessed and then unified with the skill of a true artisan to create a luscious berry driven palate that intriguing and truly indulgent. A heady blend that sings with vibrancy and finishes with a dark, earthy swoon.
